Content is king is one of the truest statements I have seen with respect to becoming a successful website marketer.
You have sat down, thought out your niche and looked into the marketing. There is huge potential for growth in your planned niche.
Traffic is obtainable very easily nowadays. You can attain traffic from multiple sites, social bookmarking and of course back links, submitting your site to hundreds of directories. Signature links placed in Webmaster Forums are also very popular.
Ok we have established you have done the original SEO and the traffic is now starting to trickle into your site. At first 30, 50, 100 and now 500 unique visitors daily.
You are now at the stage where content is king. You will of course be working towards keeping that traffic flowing for unique visits but what of those who have been there before?
They have seen 2, 3, maybe 5 or 6 of your sites pages. Remember this is their second visit and they are looking for fresh content again. A great niche and great unique content will keep those visitors coming back time and time again maybe even more than once a day. Your starting to see the need for content and lots of it now?
I have seen several guides saying update your content weekly. I say daily if not even more frequent, of course this does depend on your chosen niche. The heavy traffic sites will tell you to update your content several times a day.
I have a network of sites that keep me very busy with content that needs updating on a regular basis. If you can gather a collection of hundreds of hand written, unique articles your well ahead of the game.
