7 Ways to Keep Your Visitors Interested
Number 1 - Content
Always provide good quality content that actually interests your target audience. Don't do bad quality articles, articles that are not related to your business or, worst, articles of low quality that are not related to your niche.
Number 2 - Usability
Make your website appealing and easy to navigate. Use a simple tree-like navigation as to not confuse the user. Include a search option if your website has loads of content. Don't use too many flashing things or other features that distract or confuse the user.
Number 3 - Optimization
You may use graphics, and you should, but they must be optimized to the web. If you are designing your own websites, make sure you learn about .jpg, .gif and .png and which are better for what. Every webpage must be fast loading and remember that it is best not too have graphics than horrid graphics that load fast.
Number 4 - Change
Change is what makes old users keep coming back. Update your content regularly. Constantly provide freebies. Use competitions and promotions. If your niche allows it, keep an updated blog or a news section.
Number 5 - Content Packages
Instead of releasing your content as one page at a time (leave that to your blog) schedule a monthly content release around a theme and keep announcing it as the day approaches. For instance, let's say you kept a website about dogs, announce that in January the update will be about grooming dogs. Do it the same day you released the December update, then remember your visitors and your list 15 days before, a week, the day before and the day you release it.
Number 6 - Emails
Create a free mail course about something that interests your audience to capture their emails. Then send out valuable information to their emails at least once a month to keep them coming back. And don't forget to announce your content packages.
Number 7 - Directory
Create a website directory in your webpage where visitors may add their website. But to do so they must provide their email for confirmation. On the confirmation email remember them to visit your website and then send them the informative emails we talked about. Just remember to allow them to quit from your list.
