Your Internet Home Based Business Success is All in Your Head!
I was listening to Brian Tracy today and even though I have listened to the tape about 10 times something he said really hit me and connected to why I think so few people are successful in any type of home based business venture. Most people are like bottle rockets when it comes to either online business or working for themselves for that matter. They start out on "Fire" with visions of grandeur; they are excited, motivated and ready to conquer the world.
Instead of feeding this excitement, getting educated and God forbid, developing a plan, they allow themselves to start to become negative. To allow doubt to creep into their psyche and begin to explain to themselves why it's OK to fail and that this really is not for them. Sadly, most people have what it takes to make money being "self unemployed" and ditching the corporate world. But, they do not believe in themselves enough to strive forward and make it happen.
To be successful in online marketing, network marketing or any your home based business of choice, you have to be 100% confident in your ability to make it come hell or high water. You have to see the vision of where you want to be and know with every fiber that you will get there no matter what obstacles get in the way. Many of those closest to us are our biggest roadblocks to success. If you have ever seen a crab in a pot, it is kind of like that. If you have one crab in a pot, they will get out pretty easily. If you have two or more, they will continue to pull each other down, so none ever get out. Our society is a lot like this and many people are actually afraid of success. If someone makes it big, it takes away our excuse for not being successful.
You must know that you can and will be successful. Visualize where you want to be, see yourself in that position and feel that it is already happening. In my past life I was an airline pilot and we had to take pass or fail check rides for the aircraft every six months to ensure safety and proficiency. This was stressful because your job was potentially on the line every time. The night before every check ride, I went over the whole check ride in my head as if I was in the plane. If you were sitting in the room with me you would have thought I was an absolute nut because I did everything as if it was real. I made the hand motion, turned buttons, added power, dropped the gear and made the calls I had from the charts. But the reality was, the next day was Déjà vu and it made the ride a lot easier, and oh yeah, I never failed one.
So saying all this and boiling it down to a simple proposition, you already are a success, you may just not have convinced yourself of that yet.
