Building Your MLM Down Line
Building your down line properly within your MLM Organization is absolutely critical. This is where you are going to receive your commissions so you have to know what you are doing. When new people join your business, you want to place them so that you can benefit from them and they can benefit from their position. Caught up in the excitement, new and experienced net workers alike may not go into a lot of thought over the construction of their down line. To many, it is not realized or known that this placement can make or break their organization and down line .
In the beginning, my networking co-workers and I placed our leads all on one leg, straight down. To support our down line, we placed our next person straight down under them, thinking that we were encouraging them to build. Our general consensus and what we were told is that you 'go deep!' After a period of working on our first leg, a realization finally hit us. With so many people on this one leg, we are only going to be able to benefit down to the fourth or fifth level, keeping in mind that there is only one person on each level. We still have other prosperity components to work from but this is definitely not maximizing our profits. It was very disappointing to finally realize our errors and know that it could not be undone.
For many, it is not realized how crucial placement is until it is too late. The key is to build across and then down. Place your first person (hopefully a leader) on your first leg. You will reap greater rewards by placing and keeping your leaders close to you. Then place the next person on the second leg and the third person on the third leg. This is when you move to the next level and place your fourth person under your first person in your first leg. Building deep will just benefit the qualified people above you. For example, if you have a leader in your down line who has been placed far down on your first leg, they can build their organization greatly and it will hardly benefit you. If they had been placed according to the across rule, they would have been placed much closer. If at a certain point you are allowed another leg in your organization, begin building that one according to this rule. Remember the critical point of across and then down.
Be sure to train and explain to your down line how they will place their own people within their organizations. Do not have anyone making this same unfixable mistake. In having your own down line positioned right, you create a successful, well-running MLM machine, for you and for everyone else in your organization.
