Identifying the Best Product For Your Niche Market Wrinkle
OK, so you have a blog or website that is online and you've been adding content
to it religiously. You know the stories and articles you pour onto the pages
are good and exciting. You know people read them. You know people comment on
them. You know the stories brew up genuine interest. What you don't know is
how to make any real money from your site, since we all know that Google AdWords
or affiliate network links aren't going to pay the bills or make any real change
in your life. Outlined in this article are some powerful tips on how to drive
BUYING traffic to your site, and how to discover the right products your visitors
are willing to buy that are actually worth your time to sell.
In order to make my illustrations easier, I'm going to use an example. You should apply YOUR niche topic to the ideas. The example we're going to use is a woman having a blog about beauty and health.
The first step is to make a list of all the products you can think of, which the readers of your site are ALREADY prequalified to buy, just because they're reading about beauty and health. You'll end up with a large list of everything between toothpaste to sleeping pills...by far, way too many choices and way too many items that WILL NOT earn you money. You need to focus the list down to one or two items. Which items? Well one way to narrow it down is to surf the web for affiliate programs for each type of product on your list. Take a look at how much the affiliate program will pay you per sale. You don't want to screw around with anything less than $30 a sale. I mean, there is no point in referring a sale to a tube of lipstick that will earn you a whopping $1.50 on a sale. Of course, there is no way that any company can pay you $30 for a product that costs less than $80 to $100+, so immediately strip any products off your list that are less than that.
After this first slashing, you should have a focused list of products that beauty and health readers would buy, which cost more than $80. The top of your list might look like this:
Expensive anti aging wrinkle creams
High-end diet or weight loss pills
Costs tooth whitening systems
These products might have passed your "initial list slashing" because they cost more than $80, and pay you at least $30. However, they will make it to your FINAL choice list, because they are also High Demand, Play to Vanity, and present the consumer with a shopping task, where your recommendations will play an important role in their decision.
Now we have finished our initial list of qualifications for your product.. to sum it up, any product that might go on your site must be:
More than $80 or pay you more than $30
Be a product that is in high demand to the consumer
Play towards a Vanity, ie an emotional need to look good and feel good about
yourself. When emotion comes into play in a buying situation the advantage goes
to the seller.
Be a competitive marketplace, where the consumer runs into a lot of conflicting
"we're the best" marketing material.
In this example of a beauty and health blog, based on these credentials, the top pick might be Anti Wrinkle Creams. They are high demand, cost a lot, and we all know that every product claims to be the best. Best of all, you earn a lot per commission from the affiliate programs out there.
Now that you've got your product outlined, and have joined a few affiliate programs for wrinkle creams, you need to bulk up the content of your site which is directly related to these products. You don't have to completely re-do your site, but at the very least, you should have some "review" pages on your site that talk about the pros and cons of each cream you sell, and make a final recommendation as to your top choice. Write some articles specifically about creams and why they are better/worse than each other and let them populate your site.
Soon, when the search engines get a hold of your new "wrinkle cream" oriented pages, you will start to see some traffic for it. The recommendations you make should result in visitors clicking over to buy the creams, and landing some dollars in your pocket. Hopefully these ideas are helpful and easy to implement. The difference in earnings will be substantial, and at least make your blog or website pay for itself.
